About

Jacobi Medical Center is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center that is situated in lovely Bronx, New York at 1400 Pelham Parkway Building 19 West. Addiction to drugs, alcohol, or any other substance of abuse, can take a toll on the well-being and livelihood of the addict. It's important that these individuals seek professional treatment, guidance, and care in order to safely and successfully beat the addiction. Whether the patient requires inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment, Jacobi Medical Center can provide patients with everything they need to beat addiction.

It's very typical for an addict to believe that they can overcome addiction on their own. Although this idea may seem tangible, going cold turkey is unsafe and more than likely will result in a relapse in the very near future. It's imperative that addicts seek the help of Jacobi Medical Center as patients will receive quality addiction care and treatment methods at Jacobi Medical Center. If addicts do not seek help for drug and alcohol addiction, their future will be unclear. This is because addiction is a degenerative and progressive disease that requires intense, professional treatment in order to conquer.

Jacobi Medical Center can provide patients aged 18+ with unique treatment methods along with compassionate care and guidance. The counselors that work with the patient will be by their side every step of the way, helping to ensure their success in recovery. Every addict is able to overcome their addiction if they want it badly enough, but it does take the professional help of Jacobi Medical Center in order to get to the level of sustained sobriety.

Through deciphering the core reasons why the patient uses drugs and alcohol as an escape will help counselors to better create a treatment program that works for them. A tailor-made approach to recovery is what patients will receive when they enter Jacobi Medical Center and this is believed to be the best way to treat addiction.

If patients are truly ready to overcome their addiction and begin a new happy and content life than they will succeed in recovery. Great staff! Dr. Jose Rivero was nice and patient with my sensitivity and pain. The woman that first see patients, who takes the x-rays, is the sweetest of all. The reason I don't give 5 is because it is extremely hard to be a regular patient of the clinic. They don't have any more vacancies for new patients and to be part of it I was told I have to call constantly to check if there is a vacancy. A really weird way of acquiring new patients. I don't understand why they don't have a waiting list. I could be calling every day, but if another person calls earlier than me on a certain day he or she wins the spot even when I called several times and for longer time. Not fare!

If anyone has a life-threatening injury, I'm certain that the hospital emergency room staff will definitely render medical services to any walk-in🚶 or ambulance 🚑 drop-off. - Noticeable from normal traffic, - Paid parking, - Wheelchair ♿ accessible entrance, - FREE public restroom 🚻, - All kinds of medical care are provided here, - Trauma Center Level #1, - Air-ambulance helipad equipped, - Adult Emergency Room, - Pediatrics, - Hospital Police 👮 on duty, - Clean environment, 👍 - FREE public guest Wi-Fi, 👍 Since Jacobi is a trauma medical center intake, it's obvious that when the serious injuries or cases are being brought in the E.R., walk-in🚶outpatients may not be seen as fast as expected before because it's a busy hospital 🏥. A lot people complain about the medical staff being rude. Well, I haven't met one yet. A little of patience and commonsense can go a long way.

Renovated ER. Well known trauma center. I have always experienced a long wait time in the adult ER. The pediatric ER is slightly better. Metered parking outside. Strong potential for tickets. They offer some parking spaces on premises at a cost. Good follow up care offered through their network of clinics. It is a very busy hospital.

It is no different than any other hospital in the Bronx, when it comes it comes to the wait time. However, being taken care of here was a better experience than St. Barnabus and Bronx Lebonnon. They communicate greatly with you, and attended by a nurse every 2-3 hours. We live in an over populated city don't expect better. I appreciate the fact that they are doing their best to take care of my situation.

Fantastic hospital in every way ... I Love the staff and My Primary Doctor is the best.. Also my cardio and pulmonary doctors have been wonderful... I had to have a pericardial drain in Sept of 2016 and the ccu was amazing ... everyone from the Doctor who did the procedure To the nurses and staff members including housekeeping were the kindest and amazing people (I was a little nasty and everyone was so sweet, kind and understanding) ... then in March I had to once again go in to get a pericardial "window" and once again the staff was lovely, it was supposed to be in and out in one day but it drained very slow so I had to stay overnight and the staff was very kind ... I would recommend Jacobi Medical Center to Anyone and Everyone ... I have been going for all my healthcare needs for Years and 14 years ago my grandson Logan was born there ... I think this hospital and Every Single Member Of The Staff are Amazing And Wonderful !!!!

Well, today was a miracle, because my husband was called in less than an hour, for chest pain. it was pretty empty tho. He signed in at 11:00 pm and called before 12:00 am. They took x-rays by 12:30.... I guess it depends on what time you go too.

I went there for an emergency for tooth extraction without insurance, well it wasn't going to be effective till the 1st, but they took me anyways. I'm so thankful for the nice staff there as well in the Dentist Dept. but Except for the CASHIER!! She was a rude one! But besides that, they took care of me!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I gave birth in 2010 and the staff and doctors were great. I have also been treating at their new clinic and Jacobi has shown their progress in medical care and have been improving throughout the years. Maybe the ER is not all that great for adults but hey that's every hospital in the Bronx. I give them credit.

I had to rush my 7month old son to Pediatric ER 2 days before Christmas 2015. He had what we thought was a bad cold. The Staff were extremely helpful an assisted My son immediately..They worked so hard to get his breathing stable. It turned out he had Bacterial Pneumonia an had to be in the PICU for 5 weeks. The Doctors, Nurses, PA, surgeons, were exceptional the whole Time.. We were So grateful for the care despite the other things people have said about this hospital.
